Job descriptionInstall, configure, and upgrade SQL Server software. Design, implement, and maintain database structures. Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery planning. Monitor database performance and optimize as needed. Implement and maintain database security measures, including user authentication and authorization. Perform regular security audits and address vulnerabilities promptly. Identify and resolve performance issues, optimizing queries and database performance. Implement best practices for database performance and resource utilization. Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT professionals. Stay current with SQL Server updates and patches. Plan and execute database upgrades as necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design and implementation. Work closely with system administrators and network engineers to address infrastructure-related issues. Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and its various components. Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery procedures. Experience in performance tuning and optimization. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
