The Opportunity.
The Product Specialist plays a critical role in driving innovative solutions to business challenges, identifying opportunities for process automation, and supporting the development of new products and services. With deep expertise in Temenos T24 and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Product Specialist contributes to strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and productivity in a dynamic banking environment.
The Role.
Strategy & Solution Development :
- Design and develop enhancements in T24 including :
- Customizations
- Functional modules
- Reporting solutions
- Interfaces to external systems
- End-of-day (CoB) jobs
- Performance optimization
- Provide consultancy and support for product configuration, installation, release management, and patch deployment.
Business Engagement :
Coordinate with Temenos for T24 setup, issue resolution, and ongoing support.Install and validate custom enhancements, ensuring proper technical setup and testing.Prepare and maintain clear, concise technical documentation.Facilitate and conduct technical training sessions as needed.Process Improvement :
Mentor junior developers and consultants on complex technical issues.Promote reuse culture by defining and adopting reusable components.Contribute to internal improvement initiatives by developing tools, templates, and accelerators.The Expertise.
Expert-level proficiency in Temenos T24 R20 and above, specifically in TAFJ.Advanced programming skills in Infobasic, Java (Level 3), and JavaScript.Strong understanding of IRIS and application servers such as jBOSS.Advanced experience working with RedHat Linux and IBM AIX operating systems.Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle, and proficiency in SQL.Skilled in interface development for both online and batch processing.Experienced in CoB (Close of Business) processing and troubleshooting.Familiarity with Temenos utilities such as Version and Enquiry.Working knowledge of ADO and DevOps practices.Ability to guide and support less experienced team members in resolving complex technical issues.Capable of conducting technical training and producing clear documentation for internal and external stakeholders.About us.
