About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site Assistant EYP Homeroom Teacher for a reputable preschool located in Sadashivnagar, Bangalore. You will work alongside lead teachers to deliver a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom experience that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based and inquiry-led activities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the lead homeroom teacher in planning and delivering daily EYP lessons and play-based activities that align with the curriculum and developmental goals.
- Supervise, engage, and scaffold learning for small groups and individuals to promote social skills, early literacy, numeracy, motor development, and independence.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organised classroom environment; follow safeguarding and first-aid procedures at all times.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress; contribute to assessments, learning portfolios, and transition reports.
- Communicate proactively with parents and caregivers—share updates, address concerns, and support family engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on activity planning, classroom routines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
Diploma / Certificate in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Nursery Teacher Training, B.Ed (preferred) or equivalent.Minimum 0-2 years' experience working in a preschool / EYP / early years classroom in an assistant or co-teacher capacity.Strong understanding of play-based learning, child development milestones, classroom routines, and positive behaviour strategies.Good communication skills in English; ability to communicate sensitively with parents and work in a team onsite in Sadashivnagar, Bangalore.Preferred
Experience with IB PYP / EYP, EYFS, or Montessori approaches; basic first-aid and familiarity with inclusive classroom practices.Benefits & Culture Highlights
