Qualification and Skills :
- 3-7 years of professional experience in institutional sales within mutual funds industry.
- Graduation / Masters in finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Established relationships across corporates, banks, treasuries, mutual fund distributors, RIAs, and family offices.
- Strong understanding of mutual fund products, distribution channels, and SEBI regulations.
- Strong knowledge of fixed income, arbitrage, and hybrid products, with a particular focus on strategies deployed by institutional investors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to originate business, deliver AUM targets, and manage key accounts.
- Analytical mindset with ability to track competitor moves, market trends, and client portfolios.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
Drive AUM growth from institutional clients including corporates, banks, treasuries, distributors, RIAs, and family offices.Originate meetings, pitch investment strategies, close mandates, and maintain a qualified business pipeline.Build, manage, and service key distributor and RIA relationships : empanelment, activation, retention, and business delivery.Conduct portfolio reviews and market updates for institutional clients; collaborate with investment and product teams for client presentations.Maintain CRM and MIS discipline : share daily, weekly, and monthly reports with management on business progress and challenges.Resolve client onboarding, KYC, operational, and payout issues by coordinating with operations, legal, and compliance teams.Track industry flows and competitor activities; share actionable insights with internal teams for product positioning and campaigns.Ensure all communications and client interactions are compliant with regulations(ref : iimjobs.com)
