Job Title : Manager - Business Development

Job Summary :
The candidate shall operationalize the Business Development strategy for all verticals of Sambodhi.
Essential Functions :
The Manager will perform the following key functions :
A. Business Development & Market Intelligence
- Independently take ownership from lead stage to commissioning of opportunities
- Independently respond to requests for proposal (RfPs) and expressions of interest (EoIs) from potential clients
- Engage with potential clients – prepare and deliver presentations of proposals, track submitted bids and analyse reasons for success and failure
- Identify bidding and business opportunities for all verticals through web and other publicly accessible sources. Develop opportunities with new and existing clients, track upcoming RFPs, lead proposal development teams, etc.
- Evaluate bidding and business opportunities for all verticals
- Identify intelligence indicators and map potential competitors for specific bids and in broader sectoral landscape
- Gather intelligence on potential leads and actively pursue for subsequent conversion to opportunities and commissioning
- Assist in contract negotiations
- Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains
B. Partnerships & Collaborations
Take lead in scouting, shortlisting and selecting individuals and organizations for potential partnerships on bid-specific or general basisLiaison with partner organizations, consultants, vendors and other relevant agenciesC. Bid preparedness
Develop and update organizational collaterals e.g. capability documents, resumes, project description sheets, etc.D. Marketing & Outreach
Help create space and ensuring visibility of the organization at relevant public events / workshops / seminarsHelp create avenues for dialogue with print and electronic mediaActively meet potential partners, clients on a regular basisThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job. DESIRED PROFILE
Education : Postgraduate in Business Management / Rural Management or any other post-graduation with relevant experience.
Experience :
3-7 years of progressively responsible experience in the development sector or Monitoring & Evaluation domains
