Job Summary :
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced U.S. Tax Reviewer to support our growing U.S. tax practice. The Tax Senior will be responsible for the preparation and initial review of complex U.S. federal and state tax returns, assisting in managing client deliverables, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in U.S. tax laws and experience across various entity types including corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review federal and state tax returns for corporations (1120), S corporations (1120S), and partnerships (1065)
- Review formatting Trial Balance & Rolling them over
- Analyze financial statements and workpapers for tax compliance and accuracy
- Identify tax issues and propose solutions during the return preparation process
- Perform technical research and apply tax law to specific client situations
- Coordinate and communicate with clients and internal team members to gather missing information
- Supervise and mentor tax preparers and junior staff; review their work and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure timely delivery of quality tax returns in compliance with internal deadlines and client expectations
- Assist in client onboarding, workflow management, and process improvements
- Stay current on U.S. federal and state tax law changes and communicate implications to the team
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 5-8 years of experience in U.S. tax compliance and complex preparation & reviewSolid understanding of U.S. tax concepts for corporations and partnershipsHands-on experience with tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or Drake)Strong analytical, communication, and project management skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlinesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailComfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven, virtual environmentPreferred Qualifications :
CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or actively pursuing certificationExperience with International Tax Forms (5471, 8865, etc.) is a plusPrior experience working with U.S. CPA firms or offshore delivery modelsExposure to tax workflow software and cloud-based platformsWork Schedule & Compensation :
