Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced U.S. Individual Tax Reviewer to join our tax team. The role involves preparing and reviewing complex U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040), supervising junior staff, and serving as a technical resource on tax matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review complex U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040) and related schedules (Schedules A, B, C, D, E, etc.)
- Review and interpret client-provided financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, brokerage statements, and foreign income reports
- Assist in international tax filings including FBAR (FinCEN 114), Form 8938, Form 1116, and Form 2555 where applicable
- Manage a team of tax preparers, providing training, guidance, and review of their work
- Coordinate directly with U.S. client teams or member firms regarding tax return status, issues, and queries
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and internal standards
- Maintain updated and accurate tax workpapers and documentation
- Contribute to process improvements and SOP development for individual tax compliance
- Ensure timely delivery and high-quality output during the tax season
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA / EA certification is a plus)5-8 years of hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040)In-depth knowledge of U.S. individual income tax laws and filing requirementsProficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or UltraTaxFamiliarity with workflow and document management tools (e.g., SurePrep, CaseWare, XCM)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressurePreferred Skills :
Experience working with U.S. CPA firms or within a global delivery modelExposure to high net-worth individual (HNWI) returns and complex investment incomePrior experience in training and mentoring tax staffKnowledge of FATCA / FBAR reporting requirementsWork Schedule & Compensation :
