Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Banking QA Engineer (SIT Tester) with 3–6 years of experience in the banking or fintech domain, specifically in testing digital channels and integrations such as internet banking, mobile banking, payment gateways, and core banking systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong functional understanding of digital banking workflows, hands-on experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), and expertise in API and UI validation. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless functionality, secure data flow, and smooth integration across multiple digital platforms and backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) for digital banking modules and applications, validating end-to-end interactions across systems such as Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Payments, LMS / CBS, and third-party integrations (UPI, BBPS, AEPS, KYC, etc.).
- Review business and functional requirements (BRDs / FRDs) to design comprehensive SIT test cases and scenarios covering full digital customer journeys.
- Conduct functional and integration testing for features such as customer onboarding, KYC, account management, fund transfers, bill payments, e-statements, and service requests.
- Execute API testing using tools like Postman, validating endpoints for authentication, transaction flows, headers, status codes, payloads, and error handling.
- Validate data integrity across UI, middleware, and backend layers, ensuring accuracy in customer data, transaction details, and account updates.
- Identify, log, and track integration and functional defects, providing detailed reproduction steps and collaborating closely with developers for resolution.
- Test integrations with external systems such as payment gateways, NPCI services (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS), CKYC, PAN, GSTN, and credit bureau APIs.
- Ensure compliance with RBI digital banking guidelines, data protection standards, and internal security policies in all validated workflows.
- Maintain all test artifacts, including test cases, execution results, defect logs, and requirement traceability matrices.
- Support test data preparation, environment setup, and configuration of digital banking products and customer scenarios.
- Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and developers to understand business logic, clarify requirements, and align on expected outcomes.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and defect triage meetings, providing regular SIT progress and issue updates.
Required Skills & Experience
3–6 years of QA experience in digital banking, fintech, or core banking applications.Strong understanding of digital banking processes, including onboarding, payments, fund transfers, bill payments, and customer servicing.Hands-on experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and API testing.Proficiency in testing tools such as Postman, JIRA, Confluence, and SQL for backend validation.Familiarity with middleware systems, microservices architecture, and message queues (Kafka, MQ) is a plus.Knowledge of RBI digital banking compliance, data security, and authentication standards (2FA, OTP, device binding).Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.Experience with automation frameworks (like Selenium, RestAssured, or PyTest) is an added advantage.
