Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Workday Functional & Configuration Consultant to lead and support the end-to-end implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of Workday HCM modules. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and configuration experience across key Workday modules such as Core HCM , Learning , Compensation , and Talent & Performance .
This role requires a deep understanding of Workday best practices and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient Workday configurations.
Key Responsibilities :
Configuration Ownership : Manage and execute configuration changes in the existing Workday system across multiple modules.
Business Process Setup : Design and maintain business processes in Workday, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Security Configuration : Apply a solid understanding of Workday Security to ensure proper role and data access controls.
Functional Testing : Conduct thorough testing of functional changes and enhancements.
Workday Best Practices : Lead implementation of best practices across Workday modules, providing guidance to teams and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders during new feature roll-outs, implementations, and ongoing support.
Project Execution : Drive day-to-day project activities including solution design, lifecycle management, and project reviews.
Stream Leadership : Lead functional work-streams, driving solution decisions and recommending best practices for configuration, integrations, and module adoption.
Product Expertise : Stay current with Workday's product roadmap and advise on upcoming features and their impact.
Issue & Risk Management : Track issues and risks, communicate progress, and escalate concerns when needed.
Solution Design : Participate in solutioning sessions, gather business requirements, and develop rollout strategies aligned with business goals.
Client Consulting : Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies to meet client needs.
Requirements
Minimum 4–7 years of experience in Workday HCM functional configuration and support.
Strong expertise in configuring modules such as :
Core HCM
Learning
Compensation
Talent & Performance
Proven experience in end-to-end Workday implementations and production support.
Hands-on experience with business process configurations , functional testing , and security setup .
Soft Skills :
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
