Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Technical Consultant at SME or Expert Level to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP landscape management, system upgrades, patching, and administration across a variety of SAP components including S / 4HANA, BW / 4HANA, ECC, BPC, Java Systems, and SAP Solution Manager.
This role demands hands-on experience in system upgrades, database administration, and complex troubleshooting, especially in large enterprise environments. The ideal candidate must be self-driven, able to lead tasks independently, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders in global delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform and manage SPS, EHP, Kernel, and Version Upgrades (experience in at least 2 is mandatory)
- Handle ABAP / JAVA patching and system upgrades
- Perform installation and upgrades of S / 4 HANA, BW / 4HANA, BPC, AO, and version upgrades (e.g., from 1909 to 2021)
- Execute database administration tasks in DB2, HANA, and Oracle (experience in at least 2 is mandatory)
- Manage system refreshes using HANA, Oracle / DB2 backup & restore techniques, and perform system copies
- Lead DB upgrades, including fix packs and patch management
- Administer and troubleshoot on Unix / Linux / Windows systems; experience with Unix Shell scripting is essential
- Manage and troubleshoot SAP Basis L3 support tickets
- Resolve SAP system and OS-related issues; ensure system availability and performance
- Perform Fiori Administration, HADR setup, and handle SAP ECC, BI, JAVA, and Solution Manager 7.2 configurations
- Conduct Solution Manager tasks such as ChaRM, DVM, System Recommendation, and Managed System Configuration
- Configure and support BW, BWA, BO systems, including source system setup, process chains, and monitoring
- Manage OpenText Archive (nice to have)
- Handle BEX and BO (Business Explorer) installations and support
- Use sltoolset tools like SPAM, SUM, SWPM for implementation and upgrade scenarios
- Perform EP Portal Administration, monitoring, and SSO configurations
- Coordinate with global teams, lead discussions with clients, and manage stakeholder communication
- Guide and mentor junior team members; lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Utilize Maintenance Optimizer / Planner efficiently
- Work with tools such as BMC Remedy, Control-M, and US TAXWARE (nice to have)
- Preferably familiar with Wily Introscope and Solution Manager Diagnostics
- Basic knowledge of AWS essential services is a plus
