Manager / AM - Software Engineering (Middleware)

A client of N53 Techworks is looking for an Assistant Manager (3-5 Yrs) and a Manager (6-7 Yrs) for their WealthTech platform.

About the role

Senior Middleware Integration Developer  to build and maintain the middleware layer that connects our core wealth management system with external platforms. You'll be responsible for architecting and implementing a scalable and secure integration framework using  Node.js  and  Kong API Gateway , with both synchronous and asynchronous flows.

This is a hands-on developer role focused on enabling reliable and secure system-to-system communication via a robust middleware layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain  middleware services  to manage data exchange between internal and external systems
• Develop REST APIs and asynchronous processing flows using Node.js
• Implement and configure  Kong API Gateway  to manage routing, authentication, and throttling policies
• Handle data transformation, mapping, validation, and orchestration within the middleware layer
• Apply middleware-focused design patterns such as façade, adapter, and event-driven messaging
• Work with queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ) and file-based inputs (SFTP) for asynchronous integration needs
• Secure all endpoints using OAuth2, JWT, API key validation, and rate limiting
• Write testable, maintainable code with appropriate logging and monitoring
