Technical Lead

The Role

We are building a next-generation fintech platform with deep integrations into banking systems, handling high transaction volumes and mission-critical financial operations. As a Tech Lead – Backend, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining the system architecture, driving engineering excellence, and leading a high-performing backend team.

This is your chance to shape a scalable, secure, and reliable financial platform from the ground up. You’ll combine strong hands-on backend engineering with technical leadership, ensuring delivery of enterprise-grade solutions in the fintech and banking ecosystem.

What we’re looking for

8–12 years of backend engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in a lead / architect role.

Strong expertise in Node.js, NestJS (or equivalent frameworks), with deep understanding of microservices.

Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.), schema design, and query optimization.

Solid experience with asynchronous programming, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures (Kafka / RabbitMQ).

Hands-on experience integrating with banking systems (UPI, cards, payments, reconciliation, ledgers).

Strong knowledge of system security practices, authentication / authorization, and data protection.

Experience designing and managing high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and deployment strategies.

Ability to design and implement high-level and low-level architecture with sound design patterns.

Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and set engineering best practices.

Bonus : Exposure to regulatory compliance systems (RBI, PCI, GDPR).

What you’ll do

Lead the design, development, and scaling of backend systems, microservices, and APIs.

Architect secure, resilient, and high-performance systems capable of handling millions of transactions daily.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering leads to align business needs with technical solutions.

Guide and mentor engineers, perform design / code reviews, and foster a culture of clean, scalable code.

Own backend architecture decisions including database design, API strategies, caching, fault-tolerance, and observability.

Ensure compliance with banking / fintech security standards (PCI-DSS, data encryption, KYC / AML integrations).

Drive continuous improvement in system performance, availability, and monitoring.

Collaborate with DevOps for CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native deployments.

Balance leadership responsibilities with individual contribution by writing production-ready code, solving complex backend challenges, and debugging critical issues in live environments.
