Role Description

We are embarking on an exciting journey to re-architect our core application into a cloud-agnostic, microservices-based architecture that is secure, scalable, and future-ready.

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to own this transformation onsite from our Bangalore office and lead the design, development, and implementation of our next-generation platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and drive the migration of our monolithic system to a cloud-agnostic microservices architecture.
  • Architect, review, and implement high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions using Spring Boot, Java, and MongoDB.
  • Lead the setup and optimization of Kubernetes-based deployments across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Guide engineering teams through best practices in microservices design, APIs, event-driven systems, data management, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Balance leadership responsibilities with active coding, especially in critical areas of the system.
  • Mentor and upskill engineers in distributed systems, DevOps, and scalable cloud architecture.
  • Work closely with product and business teams to align technology roadmap with business goals.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of architecting and building cloud-native, microservices-based systems from the ground up.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership / architect role.
  • Startup mindset, extremely high ownership and accountability. Ability to work in fast paced with ambiguous requirements, and conflicting priorities
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot (Java) and MongoDB.
  • Proven ability to having built a complex Spring based system from the ground up
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, API design, event-driven architectures, and database scaling strategies.
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-agnostic architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to make architectural decisions and justify trade-offs.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
  • Experience with data security, HIPAA compliance, and privacy-first architectures.
  • Hands-on with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
