Frontend Developer

Objectives

A Senior Front-End Software Engineer for our offshore team in Pune. The role focuses on developing Angular-based applications for shop floor usage and contributing to architecture and usability improvements. The Engineer will implement user feature requests, define clean structures and data models, and steadily enhance the usability and functionality of shop floor applications

This position also supports the integration of Industry 4.0 concepts such as IoT, data analytics, and automation to increase efficiency, quality, and flexibility in manufacturing processes.

Principal duties

Strong expertise in core web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript / Typescript

Design, develop, and test new features for Angular front-end applications in a manufacturing context.

Contribute to architecture, data model definitions, and long-term maintainability strategies.

Implement modern UI / UX concepts tailored for shop floor operators and engineers.

Collaborate closely with product and backend teams to align requirements and implementation.

Ensure code quality through automated testing, reviews, and documentation.

Apply best practices in coding, modularization, and performance optimization.

Support visualization of real-time production data with libraries such as d3.js or Apache ECharts.

Work in agile, distributed teams with international collaboration.

Continuously identify improvements in usability, scalability, and team processes.

Report to the offshore Digital Manufacturing team based in Switzerland.
