The impact you will have in this role :
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions.
The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.
Primary Responsibilities :
Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of the Corporate Action Modernization initiative.Architect and implement scalable, distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, Angular , and Kafka .Design and develop microservices and RESTful APIs aligned with cloud-native principles.Drive adoption of AWS cloud services including S3, SQS, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .Integrate and modernize Mainframe-based systems , ensuring seamless interoperability with cloud-native components.Leverage workflow automation tools such as Camunda or Appian to orchestrate business processes and enhance operational efficiency.Collaborate with business and product teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.Mentor and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the platform through proactive monitoring and incident management.NOTE : The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.Talents Needed for Success :
17+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or managerial role .Proven track record of delivering large-scale modernization projects in financial services or similar domains.Exposure to financial services , especially Corporate Actions or Wealth Management platforms.Strong hands-on experience with : Java, Spring Boot, Angular Kafka, REST APIs, Microservices Cloud-native development (preferably AWS) Distributed systems and event-driven architectureExperience with AWS stack : S3, SQS, Lambda, Redshift.Proficiency in containerization technologies : Docker, Kubernetes.Deep understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
