Primary Responsibilities :
- Delivery Leadership : Plan, prioritize, and deliver user stories in an agile framework. Mentor multiple geographically dispersed teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely releases
- Technology Ownership and Innovation : Own the technology stack (Java or J2EE, Angular, React, Microservices, Kafka, Spring Or Python, Flask, Django and MySQL, Mongo, Snowflake), continuously improve cloud-based applications, and integrate AI or ML solutions to address complex business requirements
- Compliance and Policy Adherence : Uphold employment terms, company policies, and evolving business needs, including flexible work arrangements`
- Software Development Lifecycle : Contribute to and oversee full SDLC activities - design, coding, testing, deployment, and automation - while enforcing best practices in code reviews and vulnerability assessments
- Quality and Troubleshooting : Lead quality engineering efforts, support test automation, and resolve complex technical issues in distributed and dynamic environments
- Continuous Growth and Collaboration : Foster learning, coach teams on new technologies, and partner effectively across time zones to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions

Required Qualifications :
BS+ in CS or SE (or equivalent). 10+ years of full-stack (Java or J2EE, Spring Boot); 6+ years of engineering leadership2+ years of production cloud and containerized infrastructure; hands-on cloud solution deliveryExperience in AI : led AI copilot adoption; embedded generative AI into CI / CD; 1+ years integrating GenAI in enterprise appsExperience in DevOps : build tools (Maven or Gradle); CI / CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), continuous testing; code quality or security (SonarQube, Twistlock or Prisma)Experience in Monitoring or observability : Grafana, Datadog, SplunkExperience in Datastores : SQL (PL / SQL, MySQL, MSSQL); NoSQL or analytics (MongoDB, Snowflake)Experience in Messaging or streaming : Kafka, RabbitMQExperience in Testing : JUnit or equivalent; TDD and automated testingAgile or Scrum; experience in healthcare or other regulated environmentsSolid engineering fundamentals : algorithms, data structures, schemas or queries, design patterns, system design; code reviewsProven excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiencesProven hands-on, architecture-minded leader : analytical, problem-solving, research-oriented, adaptable, strategic; designs robust databases; mentors teams and reports effectively to senior management; thought leader and innovation driverAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
