Position Name : Specialist - SQA - Aluminium Forging

Qualification : B.E / B. Tech - Mechanical / EEE / ECE / Automobile / Production
Experience : 5 - 10 Years
Required Skillset :
- 5 to 10 of Experience in supplier quality assurance for Aluminium Forging Parts.
- Assuring the Quality of Process, Product being produced at supplier end and validate the final part at plant until final output.
- Development of parts as per APQP methodology & as per project milestone deliverables.
- Manufacturing feasibility study based on drawing and supplier processes.
- Has the ability to handle Non-ferrous forging process. Exposure to Aluminum forging & Nonferrous-Heat treatment process.
- Understanding of Non-ferrous forging fail failure modes & in-depth Analysis of issues using DOE & SQC tools for the Line issues & Field failures.
- In-depth knowledge in the various nonferrous alloys, Physical properties &metallurgical properties.
- Conversant in measuring instruments and hands on experience in programming in CMM, scanning, comtrace, Surface finish tester. Familiar in radiography inspection & initiating actions based on the reports.
- Planning and Implementation of Tools, Fixtures, Inspection Gauges / Instruments and POKA YOKE concept design required for manufacturing Process.
- Knowledge in material specification finalization, DFM study, Quality Assurance, Quality systems, inspection and PPAP closure.
- Quality rating declaration for supplier on monthly basis & joint analysis with the supplier partner for further improvement.
- Production trial at supplier end as per PPAP guidelines and ensure SPC, MSA and improving the capability of the process based on the results observed by taking appropriate corrective action.
- Effective PPAP audit and identifying the gaps in process, take permanent corrective actions and PSW sign off of new development parts for timely execution of the project.
- Periodical Process Audit as per plan and evaluate the supplier’s Quality rating performance on monthly basis. Assessment audit for new supplier & approval process for vendor code creation.
- To monitor the incoming rejections and supplier in-house rejections, take necessary actions to reduce the rejection PPM and achieve the targets.
- DOL target to be achieved by monitoring the part quality for the respective suppliers.
- Preparation of MIS every month, with overall supplier performance through SQAD and present it to the management.
- Proficiency in enhancing the process operations, managing Quality activities, streamlining processes / procedures thereby achieving the required quality level in the products.
- Communicating and collaborating proactively with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements.
