Job description

Design & Implementation :

  • Design, build, implement, and support comprehensive security systems to protect digital assets.
  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced security architectures for Smart City projects and IT / OT converged environments.
  • Implement security technologies such as OT Firewalls or Data Diodes, EDR, patch management, and SIEM solutions to protect OT systems.
  • Utilize emerging technologies to enhance and continuously improve security solutions, working closely with the information security team.

IT / OT Security Programs :

  • Develop or review IT / OT security programs, conducting cybersecurity assessments for IT / OT environments, including ICS, SCADA, and related OT network architecture.
  • Ensure secure integration of OT with traditional IT systems, leveraging knowledge of network architectures, industrial protocols, Active Directory, Backup processes, and application virtualization.

    • Strategic Alignment :

  • Align the organization?s security strategy with its overall business and technology goals, ensuring that IT and OT security measures support business objectives.
  • Provide consulting and engineering expertise in designing and developing security best practices to meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals.

    • Risk Management & Compliance :

  • Conduct risk assessments and find security gaps to identify vulnerabilities in Smart City and OT environments, including ICS and SCADA systems.
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, and other relevant regulations.

    • Collaboration & Integration :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into Smart City technologies, including IoT devices, smart infrastructure, and data management systems.
  • Establish guidelines for secure software development and deployment for applications within the Smart City and OT environments.

    • Security Leadership :

  • Lead security initiatives that protect critical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing the cybersecurity posture across diverse IT / OT environments.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and trends in both IT and OT security to proactively design forward-thinking security solutions.

    • Required Qualifications and Experience :

    Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, B.Tech, B.Sc Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred).

    • Experience :

  • 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security architecture, risk management, compliance, and IT / OT environments including ICS / SCADA systems.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Proven experience in designing security solutions for large-scale projects, with a preference for experience in Smart City or IT urban infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of IT / OT security frameworks such as NIST, IEC 62443, encryption standards, and data protection regulations.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of the IT / OT security landscape, including network architectures, industrial protocols, Active Directory, backup processes, and virtualization.
  • Expertise in OT security technologies such as Data Diodes, EDR, Antimalware, patch management, and SIEM.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of operating systems, databases, and network infrastructure components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Experience with cloud security principles and multi-cloud environments.

    • Certifications :

  • CISSP, CISM, CCSP, and AWS Cloud Security certification (AWS Certified Security ? Specialty) are highly desirable.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex security challenges in IT / OT environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with diverse teams effectively.
