Masters' Union is hiring for Makerspace located in Gurugram, Haryana. We are seeking an experienced
and innovative Lead Maker to manage the makerspace's operations, guide its team, and drive a culture
of hands-on innovation. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for
enabling cutting-edge fabrication and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lab & Team Management
- Lead daily operations of the makerspace, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of educators, assistants and
volunteers
Establish SOPs for lab usage, risk management and complianceOversee procurement and inventory management systems, ensuring resourceoptimization
Drive strategic planning for makerspace growth (new tools, facilities, programs)2. Technical Expertise & Project Delivery
Operate and maintain advanced fabrication equipment : 3D printers, Laser cutters, CNCmachines, electronics workstations, laser cutters, and robotic setups
Guide and review complex prototyping projects in robotics, IoT, AI-enabled devices, PCBdesign, and mechanical systems
Collaborate with Industry experts to deliver live client projects and real world problemsolving experiences
Lead research and experimentation in new fabrication technologies (AR / VR prototyping,generative design, sustainable materials, etc.)
3. Training & Community Engagement
Design and deliver advanced training modules for students, startups, and professionalsMentor on end to end project execution : ideation, design, fabrication, testing, andscaling
Work with Faculty to integrate maker space activities into academic curriculum andentrepreneurship programs
Create pathways for students to turn prototypes into viable ventures / startups4. Community Building & Ecosystem Development
Build a vibrant maker culture through hackathons, innovation challenges and showcasesEstablish Industry / Academia partnerships to bring cutting-edge technologies andprojects into the makerspace
Represent the makerspace at National / International forums, conferences, andexhibitions
Develop funding and sponsorship models to support large-scale projects and innovationchallenges
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a makerspace, FabLab, or innovation lab.Proven team management and lab management experience.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline (preferred).Strong skills in 3D printing, CNC machining, Arduino, robotics, electronics, and PCB design.Experience with lab setup, vendor management, and maintenance.Fab Academy Diploma preferredSkills Required
