- The principal responsibility of this position as a Cost Manager is to perform cost estimating functions for integrally geared compressors built in Naroda and turbo machinery packaged in Naroda. The Role reports to Head of Cost Estimation & Planning CEP. The role requires coordination and interaction across Bid Management, Procurement, Production, Engineering, Finance and Project Management mainly with India and partially internationally as well.
How You'll Make an Impact :
Estimate product line costing : Interpret scope and build estimates using in-house tools, costbooks and experience data and calculate a complete and accurate cost of components,machinery and assemblies for projects in NarodaAlign costing of all involved parties on a project basis and optimize cost position (e.g. by costreview and cost-out meetings)Develop, create and monitor model selections of configurations. Update the data and maintaintemplates with current costs and applicable tools in NarodaWork directly with Bid Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturingdepartments to obtain their feedback for building the estimate and updating existing cost modelsAudit and analyze actual costs with estimated costs to determine if variances exist. Initiatecorrective action on any discrepancies and implement lessons learnedManage multiple proposal cost estimates concurrentlyWhat You Bring :
Education requirements : Bachelor's degree in engineering or finance / accounting, additionalMaster's degree preferredMinimum 3 years of experience in the Oil&Gas industry, ideally in Bid Management /Operations area of the Rotating Equipment Industry; product knowledge of Turbo Compressorsand ability to understand and consider technical / commercial requirementsStrong affinity for the costing / pricing process during the pre-order stage, preferably supported byexperience with costing toolsStrong drive with motivation skills to accomplish tasks with high quality and on time with attentionto detailAdvanced knowledge of Office applicationsPro-active and hands-on character with economic thinking and a strong will to provide best in class project support and willingness to improve the business every dayStrong collaborative approach and working with cross functional team to drive part projects tocompletion
