Senior Designer translate engineering concepts into practical, manufacturable designs. Create and develop new product designs, Tank designs, focusing on optimizing cost, performance, and manufacturability. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality. Core design tools include Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Generate, revise, and maintain detailed product drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Review and approve detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Apply standards, tolerances, and drawing control practices to maintain quality and consistency.
- Organize and manage drawing databases to ensure traceability and version control.
- Support new product development, tooling, and equipment upgrades through accurate design documentation.
- Utilize design tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD for 3D modelling, drafting, and design optimization.
- Allocating resources and time effectively.
- Mentor junior staffs
- Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
- Coordinate with other departments and perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical Design, or related field.Experience in field of composite manufacturing is a plus.Strong Mechanical Aptitude.Familiarity with non-metallic / composite product design is preferred.Possess technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering, design and product.Ability to interpret technical drawings and procedures.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials2D and 3D CAD Design. Preferably AutoCAD, Inventor and Solidworks.Project management experience is preferred.Problem Solving Skills.Microsoft Office suite
