Job Description
We are seeking a Senior BIM Design Engineer specializing in Dry Utilities to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead the design and modeling of dry utility infrastructure projects using advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate design of electrical, gas, and telecommunications systems for various construction projects.
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for dry utility infrastructure projects
- Lead the design of electrical, gas, and telecommunications systems using BIM software
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of dry utilities into overall project designs
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between different utility systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in dry utility design
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in BIM processes and dry utility design principles
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines
- Implement and maintain BIM standards and workflows for dry utility projects
- Continuously improve BIM processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5-7 years of experience in BIM design for dry utilitiesAdvanced proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit and Civil 3DStrong knowledge of dry utility design principles, including electrical, gas, and telecommunications systemsExcellent 3D modeling and visualization skillsProficiency in CAD software and other relevant design toolsIn-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations related to dry utility infrastructureProven experience in project management and leading design teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferredBIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferredExperience with utility coordination and clash detection in complex projectsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySkills Required
