Engineer II, Information Operations

Description

: Provide network and systems administration for system engineers and internal and external network and server environments including but not limited to planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all system hardware, software, and communication links.

• Analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the customer’s service level agreement (SLA).
• Perform simple to moderately complex engineering support on a variety of technical projects of limited scope under minimal supervision and instruction.
• Test, maintain, and monitor systems. Coordinate the installation of applications and systems.
• Design, develop, support, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
• Conduct research on systems, network, and communication infrastructure to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Review and identify errors that may impact client operations, costs, or schedules.
• Provide timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Provide case status updates to management and end-users. Support and maintain effective relationships with users.
• Assist in the design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure, business processes, operations, and / or network-based product systems.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems.
• Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
