Position : R&D Associate - Organic Chemistry
Location : Bengaluru, India (Bommasandra)
Job Overview
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented R&D Associate with a strong foundation in Organic or General Chemistry to join our team. In this role, you’ll work on process development, optimization, and scale-up of organic molecules. You’ll collaborate closely with our R&D and process teams to translate lab-scale reactions into scalable manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about chemistry, problem-solving, and building a strong career in industrial research.
Key Requirements
Skills and Responsibilities
Experience in process development, optimization, validation, and scale-up from lab to pilot scale.
Hands-on with air and moisture-sensitive reactions and chemicals.
Ability to plan and execute multiple reactions in parallel.
Skilled in isolation and purification techniques — distillation, crystallization, chromatography, etc.
Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and process impurities.
Proficient in analytical data interpretation using NMR, Mass, HPLC, GC, etc.
Good command of literature search tools such as SciFinder and Reaxys.
Ability to document experiments, observations, and results accurately in lab notebooks and technical reports.
Strict adherence to IP confidentiality and laboratory safety protocols.
Proactive in identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
