Qualifications & Experience :

Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture with minimum 5 years of experience in any reputed organization.

A Horticulture Officer is responsible for managing, supervising, and promoting the cultivation and maintenance of plants, gardens, and landscapes. Their role involves ensuring the health and growth of plants, implementing sustainable practices, and advising the public or organizations on best horticultural techniques. Key responsibilities include :

• Plant Care & Management : Oversee the cultivation of plants, including selection, planting, and maintenance.
• Research & Development : Study plant species, pests, diseases, and environmental factors to improve plant growth and sustainability.
• Advisory Role : Provide advice to farmers, gardeners, or landowners on soil management, pest control, and planting methods.
• Landscape Design : Assist in the design and layout of public and private gardens, parks, and other green spaces.
• Education & Training : Conduct workshops and training for the staff on best horticultural practices.
