Your mission is to foster a team of expert engineers, lead execution rigor, and ensure that every project we ship is a benchmark for AI-driven modernization and real business outcome .

Own Delivery Execution & Engineering Excellence.
Lead the Squad : Serve as the hands-on leader for a team of Modern Product Engineers, owning project execution, code quality, and delivery timelines across multiple simultaneous client engagements.Translate Architecture to Code : Partner closely with Solutions Architects (SAs) to refine high-level blueprints into modular, shippable engineering tasks, ensuring technical feasibility and excellence.Process Enforcement : Implement and enforce Searce’s 'process-first' standards, ensuring rigorous application of agile methodologies, code reviews, and quality benchmarks across the BU's portfolio.Quality Assurance : Own the quality engineering lifecycle, ensuring strong test coverage, minimised technical debt, and robust CI / CD pipeline integrity for every deployment.Drive Team Growth & Operational Health.
Elevate Talent : Actively coach, mentor, and elevate the technical skills of your squad, guiding engineers through their growth paths and driving high internal promotion rates.Culture Carrier : Champion Searce's "Always in Beta" mindset and "Happier" values within the team, fostering a high-ownership, accountable, and collaborative culture.Operational Insight : Manage the squad’s utilization and efficiency targets, balancing billable work with critical internal IP creation and capability building.Bridge Clients & Outcome.
Client Interface : Serve as the technical point-of-contact for operational project discussions, managing client expectations regarding timelines, scope, and technical trade-offs.IP Development : Guide the team in creating and maintaining reusable assets, shared code libraries, and specialized automation scripts that enhance the BU's offering and market differentiationLead engaging discovery workshops using first-principles thinking to uncover core client problems amenable to AI-powered software solutions.Apply our proprietary evlos methodology—iterate fast and fearlessly in the design and development of innovative systems.Your role is to serve as the chief technical translator between a client's biggest challenges and our most intelligent, AI-powered software engineering solutions.Design AI-native, cloud-forward solutions grounded in process intelligence that drive true value.Replace “nice slides” with “pleasant surprises for clients” via working real outcomes.Lead by example & impact, Not control.

Functional Skills
Technical Delivery & Execution Leadership : Proven track record of managing a technical team to successfully deliver complex software engineering projects (5+ years of direct project / team leadership experience preferred). Must demonstrate recent, high-level architectural design and hands-on coding ability.Engineering Standards & Governance : Deep proficiency in codifying and enforcing modern engineering best practices : clean code, test-driven development, security standards (OWASP), and CI / CD quality gates.Execution Rigor : Expert in Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodologies and skilled in managing project timelines, risks, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.Active Technical Problem Solving : Possesses the deep technical depth required to troubleshoot critical production issues, review pull requests (PRs) effectively, and make rapid, informed technical decisions under pressure.Technical Communication & Mentorship : Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and project stakeholders. A passion for coaching and developing junior talent.Commercial Awareness : Strong understanding of project economics, resource utilization, and the need to maintain profitability and efficiency within the BU.Sustained Coding / Architecting Experience : Must maintain current, demonstrable hands-on expertise in the core tech stack (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js, and Cloud-Native platforms).Tech Superpowers
Core Modern Engineering Mastery : Expert in managing development on Cloud-Native and API-First architectures (Microservices, Containers, Serverless), with proven personal capability to code and deploy.DevOps & MLOps Fluency : Highly proficient in managing and automating CI / CD pipelines , deployment strategies, and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).Technical Problem Solver : Possesses the deep technical depth required to troubleshoot critical production issues and make rapid, informed decisions under pressure.Pragmatic Tool Picker : Makes technology choices based on scalability and velocity, balancing the latest tech trends with operational stability and cost efficiency.Experience & Relevance
Technical Experience : 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a Lead Developer or Team Lead role overseeing project delivery.Hands-on Credibility : Must have demonstrable evidence of recent architectural design work and coding contributions (e.g., in a Principal Engineer or Architect capacity) prior to or concurrent with management responsibilities.Domain Focus : Prior experience delivering projects focused on digital transformation, data intelligence, or applied AI / ML solutions.Management Credential s : Certified in Scrum / Agile practices (e.g., PSM, CSM).Cultural Fit : A demonstrable history of mentorship, ownership, and contribution to a positive, high-performance team culture.Bonus Points (you will thrive if you have)
