Hero Calling | Fixed Asset Accountant

$130,000 – $140,000 + Super | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Perth Metro Area

We’re seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to take ownership of a major fixed asset register clean-up and ERP migration project for a large transport and logistics organisation within the Perth metro area.

This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation, improving the accuracy and integrity of asset data, and ensuring correct cost mapping into the Fleet Management System .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the clean-up and reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the migration of asset data into D365 , including validation, testing, and reconciliation.
  • Map and align costs between the general ledger and Fleet Management System for correct capitalisation and reporting.
  • Prepare and post journals for additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
  • Collaborate across Finance, Fleet, and IT teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational outcomes.
  • Drive improvements in fixed asset processes, documentation, and controls.
  • Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements related to capital expenditure.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
  • CA / CPA or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience managing and cleansing large, complex fixed asset registers .
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems or migrations – ideally Microsoft D365 .
  • Advanced Excel and reconciliation skills.
  • Strong understanding of capitalisation, depreciation, and cost mapping principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across Finance, Fleet, and IT.
