Role Overview
The Liaison Executive (DTCP & CMDA) is responsible for coordinating and obtaining necessary approvals and clearances from statutory authorities such as the Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) and the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) for real estate and infrastructure projects.
The role involves handling documentation, submission, and follow-up with government departments to ensure timely approval of layouts, building plans, and related permits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinate with DTCP, CMDA , and local body offices for obtaining project approvals.
- Ensure smooth communication and follow-up with relevant government departments.
- Build and maintain good relationships with officials and stakeholders.
2. Documentation & Submission
Prepare and submit applications for :o Layout approvals
o Building plan sanctions
o Reclassification / Land conversion
o Completion / Occupancy certificates
Ensure all required drawings, forms, and supporting documents are accurate and complete.Maintain detailed records of all submissions and approvals.3. Compliance & Regulatory Monitoring
Ensure all approvals comply with Tamil Nadu Building Rules (TNRB) , Development Control Regulations , and other applicable laws.Keep track of changes in planning regulations and update the project team accordingly.Assist in resolving any regulatory or documentation issues raised by authorities.4. Internal Coordination
Liaise with internal teams — Architectural , Legal , Engineering , and Project — to gather information and documents for submission.Provide regular status updates on approval progress to management.5. Site Visits & Verification
Conduct site inspections or accompany officials during verification visits.Ensure site conditions match the drawings submitted for approval.Qualifications & Experience
Experience : 3–10 years of experience in Liaisoning , Approvals , or Regulatory Affairs , preferably in Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure sectors.Knowledge :o Thorough understanding of DTCP & CMDA approval procedures .
o Familiarity with development rules , FSI norms , zoning , and layout regulations .
Skills Required
Ability to work independently and handle multiple approval processes simultaneously.Willingness to travel frequently to government offices and project sites.
