About the Role

We are looking for an experienced  Manager – Patent Drafting & Prosecution  with  5–8 years of prior experience  at a law firm or IP service company. The candidate should have a strong technical background (preferably in  Computer Science / IT ) and proven expertise in  drafting patent applications  and  preparing office action responses  across major jurisdictions, including the  US, Europe, and India . He / she should be a registered patent agent. The role also requires managing and mentoring a small team of patent professionals while ensuring the highest standards of quality and client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Patent Drafting & Prosecution
• Independently draft high-quality patent applications in  US, EP, and India .
• Prepare and review responses to office actions from the USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office.
• Ensure all work meets jurisdiction-specific legal and technical requirements.
• Project & Team Management
• Manage and guide a team of  3–4 Sr. Associates / Associates  on drafting and prosecution assignments.
• Review drafts prepared by team members, providing detailed feedback to improve quality.
• Oversee project timelines, workload distribution, and delivery commitments.
• Client Engagement
• Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and R&D teams to capture technical inventions.
• Provide strategic advice on patentability, prosecution, and portfolio development.
• Maintain strong client communication and ensure client satisfaction.
• Quality & Process Development
• Establish and implement best practices for patent drafting and prosecution.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members for professional growth.
• Continuously improve processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
