We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Controller (CA) with 4+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the Media & Advertising industry. This is a strategic and hands-on role that blends Controllership, FP&A, MIS, and KPI tracking, supporting both operational and strategic financial functions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, driving financial planning and analysis, ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and delivering meaningful business insights through reporting and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and month-end / year-end closings.
- Ensure timely and accurate management reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPI dashboards.
- Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Drive cost control initiatives, margin improvement strategies, and process automation.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations.
- Implement and monitor strong internal controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely closure and resolution of audit points.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and partner with business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
- Leverage ERP systems and automation tools to streamline reporting and increase efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the Media, Advertising, or Creative Services industry.Strong expertise in controllership functions, financial planning, analysis, and reporting.Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and automation tools.Advanced skills in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.Thorough understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred Attributes
Experience in a media or advertising agency environment is highly desirable.Exposure to project-based accounting and revenue recognition (ideal for service-led businesses).Knowledge of digital finance tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
