About your role

Join Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) as a Civil / Structural Cadet Engineer and kick-start your career with real-world experience. In this two-year fixed-term role, you’ll work alongside industry professionals on major civil engineering projects in a dynamic industrial setting. Designed to complement your university studies, this opportunity will help you build valuable technical, project management, and communication skills to set you up for future success.

Through the QAL Cadetship Program, you'll follow a structured development pathway tailored for high-potential civil engineering students. Enjoy the opportunity to rotate across various site functions, guided by a personalised development plan and mentorship from industry experts—all designed to help you grow both technically and professionally.

Delivered in partnership with Central Queensland University, this program builds your practical skills and career readiness, setting you up to apply for permanent positions at QAL through our Graduate Programs.
