Role Overview The Senior Executive – R&D will be responsible for developing innovative cosmetic and personal care products, ensuring smooth technology transfer, and supporting scale-up from lab to production. This role requires hands-on formulation expertise, regulatory awareness, project management capability, and leadership to drive product innovation while meeting customer expectations and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities 1.Product Development & Innovation

Develop new formulations based on customer briefs, market trends, and scientific innovation.

Conduct research on new cosmetic ingredients and improve existing product formulations.

Ensure prototypes meet safety, stability, efficacy, and sensory requirements.

2.Technology Transfer & Scale-Up

Lead technology transfer of formulations from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring scalability, consistency, and efficiency.

Support pilot batches and scale-up trials, resolving issues related to product stability or performance.

3.Testing & Compliance

Conduct and oversee product testing, including stability studies and performance evaluations.

Maintain accurate records, formulation documents, and test reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure all R&D activities meet internal SOPs, GMP standards, and applicable laws / regulations.

4.Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, procurement, and marketing teams to align R&D outcomes with business goals.

Provide timely project updates, progress reports, and status reviews to reporting manager and senior management.

5.Leadership & Mentorship

Guide and mentor junior R&D team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Support team development through training and knowledge sharing.

6.Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement

Investigate and troubleshoot formulation or production issues to ensure successful product outcomes.

Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor innovations, and new technologies to drive product differentiation.

Qualifications & Skills Education : Master’s / Bachelor’s in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience : 4–7 years in cosmetic or personal care R&D with proven track record of formulation development.

Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, stability testing, scale-up processes, GMP, and regulatory requirements.

Soft Skills : Excellent project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
