Position : Assistant Manager-Legal

About the Role : This position would support the company’s legal and compliance function with a focus on contract management, legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and litigation support. The Assistant Manager – Legal will assist in safeguarding the company’s legal interests by ensuring timely reviews, risk assessments, and coordination with external counsel and stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Drafting, reviewing, and vetting contracts including EPC contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, lease agreements, share purchase agreements, power purchase agreements and service agreements etc.
- Assist in handling legal documentation for tenders, bids, joint ventures, and vendor engagements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand legal requirements and ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain a database of legal documents, contract repository, and renewal trackers.
- Support in managing disputes, legal notices, arbitration, and litigation processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws, labour laws, environmental and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare legal correspondence, responses to notices, and internal reports as required.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and government authorities for necessary approvals and updates.
- Assist in due diligence, audits, and other legal processes for company projects and transactions.
- Monitor legal developments, changes in laws, and provide recommendations to mitigate legal risks.
- Ensure timely and accurate filings under applicable laws and maintain statutory compliance calendar.
Qualifications :
LLB (Full-time, from a recognized university) – MandatoryCS (Company Secretary) or LLM – Preferred but not mandatoryCertifications in contract management or corporate law are an added advantage.Required Skills :
6 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in infrastructure, EPC, renewable energy, or manufacturing sectors.Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, labour law, and regulatory frameworks.Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents and managing commercial contracts.Strong legal research, documentation, and analytical skills.Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple assignments independently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate across departments.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with tight deadlines.Pay range and compensation package :
