Job Profile : Onsite Search Specialist
Job Purpose
The Onsite Search Specialist is responsible for optimizing the onsite search experience in assigned country batches. Using insights from Analysts and collaboration with Category Managers, this role configures query rules, synonyms, filters, and boosts to deliver relevant and localized search results.
Principal Accountabilities
Execute search query optimizations based on analyst insights and performance data.
Configure and maintain
synonyms, sorting rules, redirects, and filter logic .
Implement
specific boosts and rule sets
(e.g., seasonal promotions).
Adapt search settings to reflect
language nuances and local user behavior .
Collaborate with Category Managers to review new product / content inputs.
Test and iterate changes to improve product discoverability and user experience.
Required Skills, Know-How & Experience
2–3 years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, or search optimization.
Hands-on experience with onsite search tools and rule configuration.
Strong attention to detail with a good understanding of product and category structures.
Ability to localize search experience across different languages and markets.
Collaborative and communicative, especially with cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English; other European languages are highly beneficial.
