About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced SAP SD - Retail Consultant with hands-on expertise in SAP S / 4HANA implementation and support within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will lead and manage Sales & Distribution (SD) module processes, ensuring seamless integration with MM, FI, and POS systems while aligning with retail-specific business requirements.
This is a senior-level position that requires a strong functional understanding of retail business operations, pricing, billing, and store sales processes, coupled with solid technical proficiency in SAP S / 4HANA environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the end-to-end SAP SD module implementation in a retail environment using SAP S / 4HANA.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to understand retail-specific sales and distribution processes.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical design documents.
- Configure key SD components, including :
- Sales Order Processing (VA01, VA02, VA03)
- Pricing Procedures (V / 08, VK11, VK12)
- Billing and Invoicing (VF01, VF02)
- Delivery and Shipment (VL01N, VL02N)
- Returns Management and Credit / Debit Memo Processing
- Support integration with SAP MM, FI / CO, Retail, and POS systems to ensure accurate data flow and financial postings.
- Participate in data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Provide L2 / L3 functional support for SAP SD in production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pricing, billing, order management, and interface issues.
- Work closely with the technical (ABAP / HANA) and integration (PI / PO, CPI) teams to debug and enhance SD functionality.
- Monitor and optimize system performance in a high-volume retail setting.
- Collaborate with MM (Material Management), FI / CO (Financials and Controlling), and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) teams to ensure smooth end-to-end processes.
- Integrate SAP SD with POS systems (e.g., GK POS, NCR, SAP CAR, or custom POS).
- Manage intercompany sales, third-party order processing, and cross-company billing scenarios.
- Support Omnichannel and E-commerce integrations for order fulfillment and pricing.
- Prepare comprehensive functional documentation, test cases, and user manuals.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and end-user training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, audit requirements, and data governance policies.
- Act as a functional lead for SD module activities within the retail implementation program.
- Manage junior consultants, assign tasks, and review deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
- Support Agile or Waterfall project methodologies as per business requirements.
