Job Description

Visa's Observability team collaborates with product development and Operations & Infrastructure teams to build and maintain innovative, reliable, secure, and cost-effective Observability solutions.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable systems and services. You will collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to automate processes, enhance system performance, and deploy applications seamlessly. You will have total ownership of solutions, focusing on availability, performance, security, and reliability. Working at a global scale, you will continually improve processes, technology, tools, and automation. As a member of Agile Scrum teams, your technical leadership, problem-solving, coding, testing, and debugging skills are crucial for success.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and improve instrumentation for monitoring and logging systems.
• Develop automation to enhance operational efficiencies and system integration.
• Support and manage Observability applications and infrastructure for Splunk, Humio, Click house, Grafana, Prometheus, M3DB, OpenTelemetry, FluentBit, Elastic Search, Open Search, Cloudwatch.
• Partner with development teams to design monitoring solutions and help to create development, non-production, and production environments.
• Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats by continuously applying new hotfixes and OS patches.
• Promote a DevOps methodology across platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Develop automation to improve operational efficiencies and system integration.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications :
