Java Developer - Spring Boot / Microservices Architecture

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Java Developer with hands-on experience in migrating enterprise applications from IBM WebSphere to an open-source Java stack deployed on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modernization, containerization, and cloud-native development Responsibilities :

• Assist in migrating Java / JEE applications from IBM WebSphere to open-source Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Jakarta EE.
• Refactor legacy codebases to be compatible with microservices and containerized environments.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on Kubernetes using Docker, Helm, and CI / CD pipelines.
• Optimize application performance and reliability in a containerized setup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Cloud, and QA to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions to ensure best Skills :
• 3+ years of Java / JEE development experience
• Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere application server
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Jakarta EE
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Maven / Gradle, and Git
• Familiarity with CI / CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab Skills :
• Experience in application modernization / migration projects
• Knowledge of Helm, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Understanding of 12-factor app Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
