The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring all corporate action events, including complex bankruptcy restructuring, private transactions, bank debt amendments and proxy voting are processed timely and accurately to Oaktree’s books and records. This person will work closely with internal teams (bank debt processing, trade processing, accounting, pricing, legal, tax, compliance and investment professionals) and external stakeholders (custodians, outside counsel, agents).

Scope and Responsibilities

• Ensure corporate actions events are processed accurately and timely across multiple accounts, funds, and special purpose vehicles;
• Confirm details of bankruptcy restructuring transactions via communication with investment professionals, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, pricing and other stakeholder groups;
• Analyze and process complex corporate events to Oaktree’s Geneva accounting platform, confirming with data vendors and external agents when necessary;
• Ensure Oaktree is meeting existing requirements related to timely event processing and validating the team is following all daily procedures and audit requirements;
• Analyze position and cash reconciliation breaks related to corporate actions and work with other required parties to successfully resolve;
• Capture and analyze valuable data to build upon established Key Performance Indicators;
• Ability to manage subscribed vendor and other service provider relationships;
• Review and update departmental procedures;
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and outside service providers (attorneys, agents, custodians);
• Perform other various tasks and projects as necessary;
