Purpose of Job :
Proposal engineers create and review proposals for clients, based on their needs. They work closely
with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, analyze client needs, and create
persuasive proposals.
Job Size :
The role ensures the smooth function project management & Project completion.
Interactions :
The job reports to the Project head & Director of the business.
Internal interactions are with the Tech services, Projects, Purchase, Accounts & other departments
on need basis.
External interactions are with Clients, Suppliers and Contractors.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Registering leads / inquiries.
2. Prepare and manage proposal submissions.
3. Proposal & Process designing of Water Treatment (WTP), Sewage, and effluent treatment
plants (STP / ETP) such as MBBR, MBR, proposal.
4. Making BOQ, costing / Budget of proposals by obtaining vendor quotes.
5. Obtaining vendor quotes for equipment and systems as required designing the proposal.
6. Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposal to end client as per their requirements and
make subsequent revisions if required.
7. Basic Process Design Calculations for Water & Waste Water Treatment Plant.
8. Preparation of Basic Treatment Scheme & Process Scheme selection.
9. Ensure that the proposals meet both technical specifications and the budgetary constraints
of the client. This includes breaking down the project scope, deliverables, and pricing, cost
estimation, cost break-up & making the final project budget.
10. Track proposal outcomes and maintain performance metrics such as win rates, proposal
conversion, and areas for improvement.
11. Prepare and organize all documentation for proposal submissions, including technical
drawings, specifications, certifications, and compliance documents.
12. Coordination with clients & attending technical and commercial meetings.
13. Interacting with customers, sales team, project & engineering team for any technical
assistance if required.
14. Identify and communicate potential risks in the project, such as technical challenges,
timeline constraints, or budget limitations. Propose solutions to mitigate these risks.
15. Keep accurate records of all submitted proposals, including version control and historical
data for future reference.
16. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements
to offer competitive proposals and solutions.
