We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Tech SME
In This Role You Will
- Define end-to-end solution designs for products and features in a way that supports the execution of the iWPB technology strategy and roadmap to deliver the Asset Management FSA, articulating and addressing associated risks, issues, and technical debt.
- Translate the requirements created by business analysts into designs that ensure products and services meet customer needs and expected Business Outcomes.
- Ensure the integrity of the design is maintained throughout the development lifecycle, liaising with the engineering team to ensure standards and regulatory requirements are incorporated.
- Collaborate with the technical product owners to define and deliver technical strategy and roadmap, looking for opportunities to improve the current landscape / enterprise.
- Identify dependencies across multiple Platforms and Value & Sub-Value Streams, maintaining awareness of projects / strategies outside of the Value Stream.
- Act as an interface to other engineering groups both regional and at Group level.
- Lead proof of concepts for new technical solutions and designs
- Lead clear choice of buy versus build decisions and vendor selection where appropraite.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect10+ years in technology architecture or related technical leadership roles, at least 3 of which are in an Asset Management domain covering instruments, holdings, funds, performance, order management & Investment OperationsStrong understanding of agile methodologies including experience with tools like Jira, Confluence or similar for backlog managementTrack record in delivery across multiple technology platforms including on premises & Cloud..Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Familarity with J2EE technologies, REST APIs, GraphQL, Springboot Microservices and containerization using Docker, Python, Flash & AngularUnderstanding of Data Fabric concept and experience with related tools and solutiuons.End to end solution design along with knowledge of infrastructure and security patternsIAM, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, GKE, CloudSQL, Dataflow and Dataproc on GCPCI / CD deployment on Cloud Platforms and On Prem ServersExperience of Machine Learning, Data Science and Generative AI is desirable.You'll achieve more when you join HSBC.
