About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Data Modeler

to join our data engineering team for a leading

banking project . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

data modeling using Erwin , a deep understanding of

Medallion architecture , and strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data models.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

conceptual, logical, and physical data models

using

Erwin Data Modeler .

Implement and optimize

Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)

for data pipelines and analytical systems.

Collaborate with

data engineers, business analysts, and architects

to define data modeling standards and best practices.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient

data models .

Ensure data consistency, quality, and governance across multiple systems and environments.

Participate in

data architecture reviews

and provide guidance on database design and performance optimization.

Support

data lineage, metadata management , and

data cataloging

initiatives.

Collaborate with the

banking domain teams

to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum

6 years of experience

in

data modeling

within large-scale enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience with

Erwin Data Modeler

(or equivalent data modeling tools).

Proven experience in

Medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold layers)

and modern data lake design.

Deep understanding of

data warehousing concepts ,

ETL / ELT design , and

data governance .

Solid knowledge of

SQL

and experience working with

relational and NoSQL databases .

Exposure to

cloud data platforms

(e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern

data engineering ecosystems .

Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Prior experience working on

banking or financial services projects

is

mandatory .

Good to Have

Familiarity with

Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Data Factory .

Knowledge of

CDC (Change Data Capture)

and

data integration patterns .

Understanding of

data quality frameworks

and

data cataloging tools

(e.g., Collibra, Alation).
