Fashion Designer - Production

to oversee our design and production unit.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Product Development :

Work closely with the creative director to develop seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with Tarina’s design ethos.

2. Production & Operations Management :

Oversee day-to-day operations at the production unit, ensuring smooth workflow and timely execution.

Oversee masters and tailors

Hiring and recruitment

3. Sourcing & Vendor Management :

Identify and build relationships with suppliers, weavers, and artisans across India.

4. Marketing Support :

Collaborate with the marketing team to curate engaging content showcasing the design process, craftsmanship, and collections.

Travel for exhibitions

Create lookbooks

Requirements :

Minimum 3 years of experience with a reputed designer brand

Should be open to travel for exhibitions and to remote weaving clusters

Strong understanding of Indian textiles, handloom weaving techniques, and embroidery.

Hands-on experience in garment production, pattern-making, and draping.

Ability to manage a team and oversee end-to-end production processes.

A keen eye for detail, color, and fabric combinations.

Proficiency in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Passionate about slow fashion, sustainability, and artisanal craftsmanship.

We may be open to hiring a textile designer based out of Kolkata also.
