SpaceLines is a slow-fashion house redefining everyday luxury with an eco-savvy edge. Established in 2022, we’ve carved a niche with conscious design and bold storytelling. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven Senior Merchandiser to manage our product lifecycle from inventory planning to marketplace promotion. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of order management, digital platforms, and data-driven decision-making.
Role Overview
We are looking for fashion designers to collaborate with our team on upcoming collections. The role requires strong creative sensibilities, hands-on design skills, and an understanding of sharp mature fashion, denim innovation, and market trends. Designers will be responsible for bringing Spacelines’ brand ethos to life through design that is fresh, inclusive, and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trend forecasting and market research to identify styles, silhouettes, and aesthetics aligned with Spacelines’ DNA.
- Design seasonal collections and capsule edits with a focus on denim and lifestyle categories.
- Create mood boards, sketches, digital illustrations, and CADs for internal and external presentations.
- Develop detailed tech packs and specification sheets for sampling and production.
- Collaborate with the merchandiser on fabric selection, trim sourcing, and wash development.
- Ensure designs balance creative storytelling with commercial appeal, keeping in mind price points, fit, and target audience.
- Stay updated on sustainable practices and integrate responsible design approaches where possible.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field.4–6 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in denim and / or lifestyle apparel.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and / or CLO3D.Strong portfolio showcasing design sensibility and ability to deliver across categories.Excellent understanding of fabric construction, pattern making, and garment finishing.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced timelines.Knowledge of inclusive design and diverse body types is a plus.Please share your CV and portfolio on ankita@thespacelines.com
