Masters' Union is a new- age business school that brings together industry leaders, practitioners, and professionals to teach and mentor the next generation of business leaders. Based in Gurugram, the institute focuses on experiential learning through live projects, simulations, and industry immersion, hosting a range of high- impact events, conferences, and workshops on campus throughout the year.
Role Overview :
The Operations Head will oversee the end- to- end execution of all on- campus events, operations, and administrative activities. The role demands strong organizational acumen, stakeholder management, and on- ground leadership to ensure smooth execution of Masters' Union's dynamic calendar of academic and cultural events.
You'll be the central point of coordination between departments, vendors, faculty, and student teams to make sure every event - from flagship conferences to guest lectures - is executed flawlessly and the campus operates efficiently.
Key Operations :
- Plan, organize, and oversee all campus events - academic, cultural, and corporate.
- Manage logistics including venue setup, AV arrangements, security, catering, guest hospitality, and vendor coordination.
- Build and manage event budgets, timelines, and checklists.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Admissions, Academics, Founders' Office) for event alignment.
- Ensure compliance with institutional standards, safety, and brand guidelines.
- Oversee post- event reporting, feedback, and documentation.
Campus & Administrative Operations :
Supervise day- to- day campus operations - housekeeping, security, cafeteria, and maintenance.Manage vendor relationships and service- level agreements (SLAs).Handle procurement for events, office supplies, and campus infrastructure needs.Implement process improvements to streamline campus and administrative workflows.Work closely with Finance for budget planning, approvals, and timely payments.Maintain documentation and operational dashboards for leadership review.
Team & Stakeholder Management :
Lead and mentor the campus ops and admin team.Coordinate with student committees for event execution and logistics.Liaise with external partners, agencies, and sponsors for collaborations.Act as a point of escalation for any operational challenges during events or daily campus activities.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or PG in Operations / Event Management preferred.7- 12 years of experience in operations, event management, or campus administration roles.Prior experience in educational institutions, hospitality, or corporate events is a plus.Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.Proven ability to manage multiple high- stakes projects simultaneously.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.(ref : iimjobs.com)
