Role Purpose
Steel will play a pivotal role in the global energy transition and will be an integral part of solar panels, wind turbines, electric vehicles, dams, etc. In parallel the industry will also create a number of opportunities for newer technologies and energy products especially hydrogen as it decarbonizes.
Industry stakeholders across the steel and raw materials value chain will need to understand the key drivers and trends impacting the industry in both the near term and long term. Miners, steelmakers, traders, logistics providers, investment bank, and financial institutions will need to be well versed with research and analytics for more informed decision making.
The Senior Research Analyst – Steel and Raw Materials will apply solid analytical capabilities and knowledge to enhance Wood Mackenzie's analysis and services to customers.
Reporting directly to the Head of Steel and Raw Materials, you will be responsible for developing a good understanding of our clients' interests and provide frequent, rigorous, and sharply written analysis as part of our publication schedules. You will also lead innovative and differentiated trends, insights, and thought leadership articles and publications. The analyst will communicate regularly with clients as well as internal stakeholders, sharing our views and engaging in mutually beneficial communication.
