Job Summary :

The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging physical education programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and overall student well-being. The role includes planning sports activities, coaching teams, organizing events, and ensuring that all students participate in physical exercises appropriate for their age and abilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan, organize, and deliver physical education lessons according to the school curriculum.

Teach students about the importance of physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and sportsmanship.

Conduct fitness assessments and track students’ progress.

Coach and mentor students in various indoor and outdoor sports.

Organize inter-house, inter-school, and annual sports events.

Ensure the safety and proper use of sports equipment and facilities.

Encourage student participation in extracurricular sports and fitness programs.

Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education with academic learning.

Maintain records of attendance, performance, and student conduct.

Promote values of teamwork, discipline, respect, and fair play.

Qualifications and Skills :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or equivalent.

Proven experience as a PE teacher or sports instructor.

Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical training techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire students.

Certification in first aid or sports coaching (preferred).

Good organizational and event management skills.

Work Environment :

Indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Requires active involvement in physical activities and sports events.

Occasional travel for inter-school competitions or events.
