Job description

Key Responsibilities :

Direct Tax

  • Ensure timely deposit of monthly TDS and filing of quarterly TDS returns.
  • Manage advance tax computations and payments.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of annual income tax returns.
  • Handle income tax assessments, appeals, and litigation matters.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness for all direct tax transactions.

Indirect Tax (GST)

  • Ensure timely deposit of monthly GST and filing of monthly and annual GST returns.
  • Manage GST audits and respond to notices from authorities.
  • Maintain reconciliations between books and GST returns and ensure compliance with input tax credit rules.

    • Transfer Pricing

  • Administer timely preparation of Transfer Pricing Study Report and benchmarking analysis for related party transactions.
  • Ensure filing of Form 3CEB and compliance with local and international TP regulations.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with group TP policies.

    • Tax Planning & Optimization

  • Optimize utilization of input tax credits, carry-forward losses, and other tax shields to minimize effective tax rate.
  • Provide tax structuring advice for new business models, contracts, and cross-border transactions.
  • Monitor and assess tax implications of changes in business operations or regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide oversight to tax compliance and planning for Enzene Inc. (US subsidiary), including coordination with US tax advisors and ensuring alignment with global tax strategy.

    • Tax Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory tax obligations including direct, indirect, and international tax laws.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on Enzene’s operations.
  • Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants for audits and reviews.
  • Maintain robust documentation and internal controls to mitigate tax risks.

    • Strategic & Cross-functional Initiatives

  • Partner with business and finance teams to assess tax implications of transactions and contracts.
  • Support implementation of SAP tax modules and automation of tax processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and controls through digitization and best practices.

    • Educational Qualification & Experience :

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Income Tax, GST, and Transfer Pricing.
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and government tax portals.
  • Experience handling tax audits, assessments, and litigation.
