Job description
  • Proven knowledge of WAN, LAN and MAN.
  • Proven knowledge of DNS, IP, Firewalls, latency issues, WAN acceleration tools
  • Routing and switching protocols including RIP.OSPF.BGP,EIGRP,STP,VTP
  • Provide network technical accountability .
  • Configure, monitor, and tune WAN / LAN network devices to optimize network performance and assure network security in a high availability environment.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Nexus / Catalyst switches, and ISR in a 1G / 10G multi VLAN distributed network.
  • Implement security policies through ACLs and MAC level restrictions in LAN and WAN environments.
  • Network systems planning and diagramming Visio for documentation.
  • Understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security / authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP / IP are essential.
  • Must have knowledge networking features and protocols such as EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, STP, Ether channel, 802.1Q trunking, HSRP, QoS, multicast, RADIUS / TACACS , SNMP, T-1 / E-1 - T3 / E3, Metro Ethernet, BRI / PRI, and MPLS.
