Core Responsibilities
1. Scottsdale Design & Detailing
- Develop complete wall, floor, and roof systems in Scottsdale.
- Generate machine-ready NC outputs and accurate BOMs.
- Ensure correct gauge, profile, punch patterns, and tooling per manufacturing standards.
2. Pre-Engineering Structural Review (Not a licensed engineering seal)
Review Scottsdale calculations for member sizing, load paths, deflections, bracing, shear walls, and connection details.Identify and flag potential structural or constructability issues before P.Eng. review.Prepare a Pre-Engineering Report summarizing checks, assumptions, and recommendations.3. Production Quality Control
Validate NC outputs for zero errors.Verify BOM accuracy against model.Maintain consistent file naming, part labeling, and revision control.4. Project Coordination
Participate in daily / weekly coordination meetings with Canadian team.Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) and resolve design clashes before submission to P.Eng.Provide redlined drawings and updated outputs as required.5. Documentation & Handover
Deliver full package : PDFs, NC, BOM, fastener schedules, erection details, and Pre-Engineering Report and Structural DrawingsKeep a traceable record of load tables, calculations, and deviations.6. Process Optimization
Recommend improvements to standard details, libraries, and QC checklists to reduce rework.Deliverables (Per Project)

2–3+ years of hands-on experience in Scottsdale LGSF software (ScotSteel, Panel Editor, Roof Module, PGE)Strong understanding of cold-formed steel design and fabricationSkilled in AutoCAD, Excel, and PDF markup toolsStrong communication skills in English and commitment to deadlinesPrevious experience on Canadian or North American projects preferredShow more
