Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

What You Will Be Doing

• Support new tax legislation requirements
• Subject matter expert for the Company in US sales tax matters
• Perform ad-hoc technical research
• Review category mappings and support Avalara codes in NetSuite
• Assist with Avalara maintenance, exemption certificates, and return filings
• Work with Avalara and taxing jurisdictions on amended returns and refunds
• Maintain tax policy documents internally regarding indirect tax.
• Manage the organization's compliance calendar for indirect taxes and confirm all taxes are filed on time.
• Timely and accurately respond to indirect tax notices and be to the lead for all indirect tax audits and inquiries.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations for indirect tax accounts.
• Assist with implementation of indirect tax strategies and projects.
• Reconcile tax transactions utilizing industry standard systems such as Netsuite and Avalara
• Review and approve sales tax returns in internal systems monthly.
• Proactively follow up with various US state tax authorities to resolve discrepancies related to sales tax notices and refunds.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Accounting, Finance) to provide operational guidance and mitigate indirect tax risks.
